Our team is growing!  The Western Kansas Groundwater Management District No.1 (GMD1) is currently looking to fill the new position of Associate Water Resource Specialist.  This is a full-time position (K-PERS and health benefits available) based in Scott City Kansas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Water Right Assistance/Field Work
• Policy Development & Implementation
• Outreach and Education
• Program Management (LEMA, WCA, 5-5-11, etc.)
• Active Coordination with State and Federal Agencies
• Water Meter Readings and Requirements

 A background in agricultural science, hydrogeology, irrigation etc. is preferred.  Pay is based on experience and educational background.
